Here you will find a detailed explanation of how to care for your soap dispensers.
You definitely can! However, we recommend using the Nuole soap dispensers, as the instant soaps have been tested with them and we can guarantee the best quality.
The instant soaps are made in Switzerland. The bottles are made in China. You can find out exactly why here:
At Nuole it was very important to us to do as much as possible in Switzerland and with partners who share our values. What are the reasons for this?
For ecological reasons: We want to reduce the transport routes and the various steps that are necessary for you to hold your package in your hands to a minimum.
For reasons of innovation and to support the local economy: Because our country is full of skills and talented people.
To ensure the best quality: You can imagine that the Swiss standards for new products are not the lowest...
To ensure control at every step: because we are demanding or what some people would say "idealistic and fussy, but in the right way".
In Switzerland we have developed the perfect recipes for our three instant soaps. The powders are then also manufactured in Switzerland in a local company. Finally, your orders and packages are also lovingly put together in Switzerland by a foundation that contributes to the professional and socio-professional integration of people with disabilities.
As for the bottles, we are currently unable to produce them ourselves. So we looked for a perfect bottle that meets these two criteria:
✅ Pump bottles made of high-quality PET (Why? See the question: Why are the soap dispensers made of plastic?).
✅ Pump bottles with a wide mouth so that mixing is really easy and you don't have to spill any of your powder (we're not trying to accuse you of being clumsy, but hey, you shouldn't need a PhD in precision to use Nuole products).
😔 We were quickly told that you would only find something like this in China. This made us laugh and we always replied that we would never shop in China.
So we looked for a supplier in Switzerland: and after 2 years of searching we realized there wasn't one. Embittered, we decided to expand our search to the countries bordering Switzerland: nothing. We found suppliers in Europe, but after some research it turned out that they made all their bottles in China. We desperately searched all over Europe for bottle manufacturers on European soil and not just resellers... hold on tight because we were blown away. To date, no one in Europe is able to provide us with what we are looking for (by the way, we are of course not alone). After years of research, emails, phone calls in pretty much every European language and conversations with everyone who crossed our path, we had to admit with a heavy heart that there really is no such thing in Europe. 🤯
Of course we also considered the option of not offering bottles. However, for regulatory reasons we had to do this in order to be able to offer you a container in which all studies and tests on compatibility with Nuole powders have been carried out. This allows us to guarantee the quality of the product and the practical handling of the bottles.
💭 We now had two options: stop everything or continue with our 100% Swiss-made powders and temporary bottles from China.
💭 We thought that a perfect solution that would never see the light of day wouldn't help our planet much. So we decided to make this compromise and start like that. But we're not giving up yet! We are constantly looking for other solutions. So if you can help us with this or know a company that can, please feel free to contact us!
